About the colleges

Two dormitories – one in Copenhagen and one in Aarhus – now bear the name Otto Mønsted after the successful businessman who made it possible to establish the two dormitories decades ago.

In addition to providing the basic capital for the halls of residence, the Otto Mønsted Foundation has over the years been happy to receive and fulfil the halls of residence’ applications for support to, for example, strengthen the resident community through social activities.

The Otto Mønsted Foundation does not own the halls of residence and does not participate in their operation. Today, the dormitories are self-governing institutions managed by local boards. The Foundation has no seat on these boards.
